I have looked at the demo for mybboard.net but it has a large ad at the top of the screen. the best would be one that has no ads or other limitations. and free.
I was told that in order to use libcurl, I need to rebuild my PHP install. What does that mean? I downloaded all of the necessary files for libcurl and I guess I am a bit naive but I expected it to work. What do I need to do to my PHP install? Do I need to reconfigure it in some way? Does installing it just mean downloading it into the same folder, or installing an application? Anyway, how do you do it?
I am a web developer who wants to run an Apache/PHP/MYSQL server on my computer for testing purposes. I need an ALL IN ONE installation and I don’t want to waste my time installing dozens of servers.
I want to test my PHP code before putting it up on the server. It’s a shared hosting account so I don’t want to adversely affect the other webs on it.
I have Vista on my laptop and I just want to try some code locally before I upload.
I could set up a dedicated L.A.M.P. machine, but I wanted to stay portable.
Any suggestions?
