What would be the most profitable computer language to learn right now? What would be the fastest and easiest way to learn it?
I am just beginning programming, though I have some knowledge of the very basic concepts like variables from starting to learn Perl and Javascript, but giving up due to a lack of time and enthusiasm. However, I now am ready and willing to learn PHP and MySQL, since I already have a decent idea for a useful website.
Does anyone have any recommendations? I’m only 14 years old, but I would say I am smart.
I read an article a while ago about validating email addresses by checking if a mailbox exists at a particular domain but I can’t remember how to do it.
Can anyone help me out?

Seeking to build a dating site/social network using beginners skills in programming. Will use ASP.net or PHP on Windows OS, want to have it fully customizable for creativity, partly WYSIWYG, and not under complete control to a dating software company. I want to purchase the software and run under my ownership and have Ad capability. Any recommendations?
I can edit php/mysql but I have a hard time writing it. I know there are php tutorial web sites and what not but what is the most efficient? I can not spend any money and am needing something that is to the point.
